I am currently homeschooling my youngest daughter, who is now in High School. We joined the HRHS group about 10 years ago and it has been a blessing for us. Recently, I joined the group’s management committee. I regularly attend the support meetings and the 9 AM mass on Sundays; and enjoy visiting with friends afterwards at Sienna Hall.
Hi, I’m Deidre Doran and I have four children. I have been a member of this home schooling group for over 18 years, and am currently teaching my last child. I have served the group by volunteering to run a meeting, helping to run Little Flowers, coordinating the high school commencement, and serving on the management committee. I enjoy getting to know the families who are part of the support group, whether in the support group meetings, on field trips, at Mom’s Night Out, or after Mass at Holy Rosary. This support group has been such an encouragement to me throughout my home school journey, and I look forward to helping new members as they begin this exciting adventure!
Hello, my name is Suchi. I have belonged to the Holy Rosary Homeschool support group for over 17 years. Our children are been homeschooled through high school, and two have gone on to college. Our youngest is now in high school. (Proud mom comments available upon request. :-)) I have served in a variety of volunteer positions over the years. Currently, I am one of the two moderators for our email lists, and also our group’s liaison for Providence Health Care Career Outreach. I usually attend the monthly support meetings, and this year am also in Siena Hall or in the church during CCD. I usually attend Mass at either Holy Rosary on Sundays at 9:00 am or at St. Patrick’s at 10:30 am.
Greetings! My name is Jodie Thompson. My husband, Aaron and I have 5 children who have all been involved in the Homeschool Group in some way. We have been coming to the Homeschool Group for awhile now and have watched our youngest girls in ballet classes up to seeing our son, Elijah graduate/ walk with his peers in a very special high school ceremony. My son, Ian is an 11th grader who enjoys his friends during his Religion class on Sundays and my son, Jacoby loves having friends in Trail Life. We have been blessed that our schedules have also allowed my daughters, Laura & Leah to solidify their friendships in their CCD program. We have used a variety of curriculum in the past, but have had the best experience with Catholic Schoolhouse. I have helped lead the “Little Flowers Girls Club” for the past 5 years. I have also coordinated the Art/History/Science Fair for the last 5 years. It has been a blessing to be in such a lovely place of encouragement and support.
Hi, I am Darcee T. I have been with the HRHS group for about 12 years. I have home-schooled 5 of my 7 children (who I will happily brag about for hours on end). Currently I am the committee chair of the Talent Show and I am taking over digital engagement, including this website, for the group. You won’t find me at most support meetings, but you can usually catch me after the 9:00 am mass at Holy Rosary or hanging out with the parents in Siena Hall during CCD.
